The protocol
Genius Lift remodels collagen at depths of 1.5–3.0 mm using Korean RF microneedling. Baby Face then resurfaces the upper layers with the LaseMD Ultra Thulium laser, creating microchannels for targeted infusion. The treatment finishes with a Salmon DNA booster, targeted red or blue LED and KICHI Forever Oil.

Best for
Clients wanting deeper lifting and firming alongside improvement in fine lines, pores, uneven texture, pigmentation, sun damage or acne scarring.

Timing
Please book at least 14 days before an important event. Baby Face resurfacing peaks around day 10, while deeper Genius Lift collagen remodelling continues to develop for up to six months.

Total Skin has two distinct treatment stages.

Genius Lift
After approximately 45 minutes of lidocaine numbing cream, the RF microneedling stage is designed to feel very comfortable. You may feel warmth, pressure and a brief stamping sensation as the needles work at depths of 1.5–3.0 mm.

Baby Face
The laser stage takes only a few minutes and is usually described as feeling similar to mild sunburn. The Thulium laser does not require protective eye shields and can be worked carefully up to the eye line.

What to expect afterwards
Redness can last 24–48 hours following the Genius Lift, particularly in sensitive skin. The skin may then feel dry or develop a fine sandpaper texture for 5–7 days from the Baby Face resurfacing. Around day 10, the skin gently sheds and reveals a clearer, smoother glow.

Because Total Skin includes Genius Lift and Baby Face in the same session, please follow the stricter preparation guidance below.

• Avoid alcohol, saunas and Hammam scrubs for 72 hours before treatment.
• Stop prescription retinoids 5 days before treatment.
• Stop glycolic acid, salicylic acid and other chemical exfoliants 3 days before treatment.
• Pause vitamin C for 3 days beforehand, as recent use may increase redness with Genius Lift.
• Avoid facial resurfacing, chemical peels and mechanical peels for 1 month.
• Avoid injectable treatments for 1 month. Genius Lift can affect filler longevity; please tell us about any previous filler so the area can be assessed.
• Avoid sun-tanning and self-tanner for at least 1 week. Treatment cannot be performed on excessively tanned skin.

Please arrive with clean skin and tell us about any medication, skin sensitivity, recent procedure or relevant medical condition before treatment.

Total Skin combines RF microneedling and fractional laser, so aftercare must protect both treatments.

First 24 hours

• Do not wear foundation or apply unapproved skincare.
• Avoid swimming, strenuous exercise, saunas and steam rooms.
• Keep the skin clean, cool and hydrated.

For 7 days

• Avoid retinoids, vitamin C, AHAs, BHAs and other exfoliating or active products unless your KICHI practitioner specifically advises otherwise.
• Avoid self-tanner.
• Focus on gentle hydration; KICHI Forever Oil may be used as advised.

For 14 days

• Avoid deliberate sun exposure and use SPF 30 or higher every day.
• Avoid injectable treatments and further laser treatments.

For 1 month

• Avoid chemical peels.

The normal Baby Face protocol can include immediate vitamin C, but because Total Skin also includes Genius Lift, follow the stricter combined aftercare above and use only the products recommended by your practitioner until the skin has settled.

Total Skin includes RF microneedling and is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Allergy to lidocaine, local anaesthetic, metal, antibiotics or other relevant medication.
• History of keloid scarring, a healing disorder or diabetes.
• Current or previous cancer, pre-cancerous lesions, radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
• Recurrent or active herpes simplex; preventative antiviral medication may be required.
• A pacemaker, internal defibrillator, other implanted electrical device or metal implant in the treatment area.
• Synthetic filler in the treatment area.
• Fragile or severely dehydrated skin, active eczema, psoriasis, sores, rash or infection in the treatment area.
• Surgery in the treatment area within the last 3 months or tissue that has not fully healed.
